Power Up Passages

One of a Kind.
November 19, 2002.

You are not going to win many games of poker when your best hand is "one of a kind". While four of a kind, three of a kind or even two of a kind will win a lot of card games, one of a kind is just not going to cut it. But life is not a card game and in the game of life, one of a kind is a winning hand.

Without question, you are unique, you are special, you are … one of a kind. Since you are indeed one of a kind, doesn't it make a lot of sense to seek out and identify your own special niche in life instead of trying to figure out which existing square or circle you might fit inside? Sure it does.

In order for you to 'sing your song' in life, you must first and foremost make certain that you are following your heart and doing whatever it is that you truly love to do. Yes, you can most assuredly build a career around something that you love so much that you would ordinarily do it for free. As a matter of fact, that is precisely what the most successful people have done for centuries.

How many people in this country fritter their life away by going to a forty hour a week dead end job they detest? Plenty. Isn't it interesting how the mood and disposition of these folks suddenly changes when quitting time finally arrives each day? When they check out of work they almost act as if they have been let of out jail. They now feel free to do what they want to do, not what they have to do.

What's going on here? Why do some people spend so much time doing something they don't like (their job) when they could be doing something they do like? Wouldn't they be far happier doing what they love to do all day, every day? Absolutely!

Finding your unique niche and filling it is the key to health, wealth and happiness in life.

Here is a simple three step process that has enabled the most successful people an opportunity to "do what they love to do". Step number one is to find a way to make your play time your pay time. That means finding a way to do what you love to do and get paid for it at the same time. Step number two is to find a niche for what you love to do. Step three is to fill it. It is that simple.

Therein lies the beauty of filling your niche in life. Doing what you were born to do and getting paid handsomely in return. How could it get any better than this?

And could there possibly be a better time to do what you love to do than right now? Don’t wait or hesitate – your one of a kind lifetime is ready when you are.
