Power Up Passages

Don't Go There.

Brought to you by
The Power Performance Program ©

January 2, 2011.

"Don't moan. Don't complain. Think positively." Katharine Hepburn

If you're like a lot of folks, your life is overrun with don'ts.

Maybe you don't like where you live.
Don't like your job.
Don't like your boss.
Don't like your co-workers.
Don't like the weather.
Don't like the economy.
Don't like your neighbors.
Don't like your life.
Don't even like yourself on occasion.

So what are you going to do? Cry in your cornflakes? Or do something about it?

Hey, if you don't like where you're going, go somewhere else. If you don't like what you're doing, do something else. Find something that sets your world on fire. Something that makes you come alive from the inside out. Something you love more than life itself. Then start doing it. Start living it. Start being it now.

"Don't miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity." P.T. Barnum

Don't know how to turn your don'ts into dos. Don't know where to start?

Well here's an idea.

Why don't you read something positive?
Write something positive.
Glean something positive.
And get positive yourself.

Read some motivational books. Listen to some inspirational CD's. Grab anything and everything positive that you can get your hands on.

When you immerse yourself in this positive charged environment for at least an hour each and every day, you won't be able to contain yourself. You will get excited. You will become energized. You will have more enthusiasm than you know what to do with. And you'll get out and there and make something spectacular happen.

"Don't bring negative to my door." Maya Angelou

Please don't toss out the standard "I don't have the time" excuse. That dog isn't going to hunt around here. You need to FIND THE TIME. Still don't know where to look? Well, here are a few suggestions:

Turn off the TV. I know it's hard to believe, but you can actually survive without the sitcoms, reality shows and other junk you watch on TV for an hour.

Put down the cell phone. Oh, I know, this one's a biggie. You've got all of those urgent personal calls you need to make. Come on, give it a rest (and your ears a break).

Close your web browser for an hour (unless you are looking for motivational quotes or inspirational stories).

Stop the texting, the e-mailing, the tweets and all of the other stuff for just an hour.

If you just cannot find the time during the day, then try this on for size: get up an hour early. Oh, I know, poor baby needs your beauty rest. But get this straight; if you snooze, you lose. And that's a fact, Jack.

You need to do whatever you have to do to get in your Power Hour every single day. Then use it to get better, get smarter and get your life moving in the right direction.

Don't think it will help? Don't think it's worth the effort? Don't think it will make a difference?

You don't know what you're talking about.

"Don't tell me I can't do something. Don't tell me it's impossible. Don't tell me I'm not the greatest. I'm the double greatest." Muhammad Ali

Just take a look at these numbers.

Devote one hour a day to self improvement. Do it religiously for a year. After twelve months you will have 365 power hours under your belt (the equivalent of forty-six eight hour days). Think about that for a minute. Just an hour a day translates into almost two full work months of positive training and reinforcement. In just one year!

In five years that number grows to 228 eight hour days. In ten years, the number balloons to 456 eight hour days.

Now think how fast you can turbo-charge your personal development if you invested 2 hours, 3 hours or even four hours a day to something positive, something exciting; something that you really love to do. Imagine how much you could grow. Picture how much you could learn. And think about how much happier you would be.

An hour a day can make all the difference in the world.

Start making that difference right now.
