Power Up Passages

Blah, Blah, Blah.

Brought to you by
The Power Performance Program ©

August 30, 2010.

"The lowest ebb is the turn in the tide." Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

We all catch a case of the blahs now and again. Try as we might, they nab each of us on occasion. And when they do, we get a little down on ourselves, maybe even more than a little. We feel kind of, well... blah. Then we get over it and get on down the road.

But there are times when the blahs just seem to hang around. Regardless of how much you want them to go away, they just won't. Instead of leaving you alone, they keep dragging you down and down and down. Even though you want to do better; want to feel better, the blahs keep sticking around.

"As we start looking for the good, our focus automatically is taken off the bad." Susan Jeffers

You start to lose interest and motivation. You start putting things off, particularly those things you really need to do. Just getting off of the couch, out of bed or over the hump just seems like way too much work. You've lost your oomph, your get up and go, and you dont feel like doing much of anything at all.

Feeling lower than low, it seems like you're trapped and you can't get up. Or out.

Ever been there? Ever experienced the depressing, disheartening, dispiriting blahs? I'm sure you have, we all have. Not a whole lot of fun, is it? Truth be told, it's kind of a helpless, hopeless, sinking sensation that overtakes you from head to toe. So is there anything you can do when the blahs start to take hold? Is there a way to fight back the blahs and send them packing?

You bet there is!

"It has been my philosophy of life that difficulties vanish when faced boldly." Isaac Asimov

When the blahs strike, you've got to strike back - and strike boldly and swiftly. Don't just sit there and allow them to gain a foothold in your life, show some fire. In case you're wondering what to do, you need to get fired up - and fire back with everything youve got.

Rather than focusing on how lousy you feel, why not channel your energy into something a little more positive, a little more productive? Like the things that are really important in your life, the things that make your life better. And get busy bringing your dreams to life!

"Believe you can and you can. Believe you will and you will. See yourself achieving, and you will achieve." Gardner Hunting

When the blahs come calling, smack them right in the face. Don't give them an inch. And keep pounding away until they run away and hide. By staying positive, upbeat and optimistic, you can drown out their annoying sound. And allow all of the wonderful, beautiful, fabulous things in life to come shining through.

You've got a lot of things going for you if you'll just give them a chance. You've got goals, dreams and aspirations that can power you to greatness. You've got talents and gifts that can set the world on fire. And best of all, you've got God on your side. Does it make any sense to spend one minute mired in the blahs? No it doesn't.

Set your heart on fire with purpose and passion - and you'll get the life you deserve.

The Bottom Line: Stay positive and you'll stay on track.
