"Don't go through life, grow through life." Eric Butterworth

Sometimes the fire that burns within loses its brightness, its intensity, its fullness. And when it does, your life become a little cloudier, a little less defined. As you get beaten down by the pressures you face and the setbacks and disappointments you encounter, the clouds begin to creep in. And your days lose some of their passion and luster.

Like it or not, we all get a little down in the dumps on occasion. And when we do, it's quite a downer.

Instead of feeling fired up and ready to take on whatever life offers up, we suddenly feel weak and weary. Instead of possessing the energy and enthusiasm that once defined our days, we now feel drained and depressed. Our fiery fervor for living has been replaced with a listless lethargy that leaves us feeling lacking.

Instead of seeing opportunity, we see shortage and scarcity. Instead of possessing an 'I can do it' approach to living, we feel helplessly buried in impossibility. Instead of feeling happy and full of cheer, it feels like the walls are closing in all around us.

And we can barely breathe.

"You can't wait for inspiration. You have to go after it with a club." Jack London

Chances are pretty good that you have checked into the down and out motel a few times in your life. We all have been there on occasion. And make no mistake about it; it's not a good place to stay.

Hey, there's nothing wrong about getting down. It happens to all of us. No matter how hard we try, regardless of how careful we may be, we're going to fall on hard times every now and again. Even the best of the very best has experienced a good bit of defeat and despair in their lives. That's right; every winner that has walked this earth has tasted defeat more times than they can remember. But these champions have learned an important lesson along the way: there's a big difference between being down and staying down.

Each and every time these top achievers get knocked to their knees, they immediately get up and dust themselves off. They learn from their mistakes. And get back in the game. No defeat can ever derail them; no setback can ever prevent them from pursuing their dreams. They believe in themselves and their God-given abilities. They know their inspiration comes from within. And that's precisely where they look.

Sounds like a winning game plan to me.

"Listen to the voices." William Faulkner

Life's difficulties can come out of nowhere, oftentimes catching us off guard and unprepared. They can knock us down and keep us down - or they can inspire us to be better than we ever believed possible. They can suck the wind right out of our sails - or propel us to heights unimagined. They can make us bitter - or they can make us better.

When you get knocked down, get up and get going again. And keep pushing yourself in the direction of your dreams. You must never, ever allow anyone or anything to keep you from living the life you were born to live.

Are you ready to rekindle the enthusiasm you once knew? Are you ready to restore a little roar to your life? Then find something that makes you come alive from the inside out. You've got to find that special something that picks you up; something that inspires you, something that brings out your very best - and go get it with everything you've got.

"First say to yourself what you would be; and then do what you have to do." Epictetus

Life offers us so much. More opportunity than we can ever hope to handle. More happiness than we can ever try to harness. More of everything that's good and wonderful and best of all, there's plenty for each and every one of us. We just need to find that super special something that's just right for us and then pursue it with unrelenting passion.

Whenever life troubles and tribulations start pushing you down, remember to push back by staying focused on your goals and aspirations. You've got to believe you're stronger than any roughest difficulty you'll ever face. You've got to believe that you're tougher than the toughest problem you'll ever encounter. You've got to believe youve got more going for you than you'll ever need. And believe it with all of your heart and soul.

When you do, you'll find all the inspiration you'll ever need.

The Bottom Line: You need to get inspired - and stay inspired - and go get whatever you want out of life.
