Power Up Passages

Getting A Little Fresh.

Brought to you by
The Power Performance Program ©

October 2, 2008.

"A fresh mind keeps the body fresh."
Edward G. Bulwer-Lytton

Ever get the feeling that you are stuck in a rut, going nowhere particularly fast? Chances are good, probably really good, that you've experienced that lower than low, deep down in the dumps feeling more times than you care to remember. And it's not a good feeling.

Not good at all.

When you're doing your best and things aren't going your way, it's easy to get a bit discouraged. And when nothing you try seems to work, it can put a big time damper on your drive, your fire, your oomph. None of us likes to bang our heads against the wall. What we all want is results - tangible, positive, worthwhile results. And when we don't get them, it can prove dispiriting to say the least.

"I have always been delighted at the prospect of a new day, a fresh try, one more start, with perhaps a bit of magic waiting somewhere behind the morning."
Joseph Priestley

If you have ever found yourself trapped in a repetitious routine, doing the same old monotonous stuff day after day, you know how draining it can become. Hopelessly mired in a dead-end rut, you can feel the life being sapped right out of you. You know you need to do something, anything differently from what you're doing, but you don't. And you sink deeper and deeper into a dark, depressing abyss.

Instead of digging yourself a deeper hole, wallowing around in a dead-end rut, why not try a different path and see where it takes you? Besides, what have you got to lose, except another hum-drum, ho-hum, bored-to-tears day? And if for some reason you don't like the new path you've chosen, so what? It's not like your choice is etched in stone. Just try another and then another until you find the one that's right for you.

"Fresh activity is the only means of overcoming adversity."
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Whenever you find yourself trapped in a rut, you must immediately shake things up and do something different. You need to stop doing whatever you're doing and start doing something else. Hey, there is only way out of a rut and that way it out. Doing the same thing over and over again, especially when you're not getting the results you desire, is a sure-fire recipe for disaster.

If you don't like where you are, change it. If you don't like where you're headed, fix it. If you don't like the results you're getting, do something different - and do it now.

Don't know where to start? Well, here's an idea. How about a fresh start; a fresh outlook, a fresh attitude? How about a fresh approach, maybe even toss in some fresh new ideas as well?

As a matter of fact, a fresh just about everything may be exactly what you need. Instead of doing those things that got you where you are today, why not take a totally different approach and try something bold, something daring, something completely out of the ordinary and see where it takes you?

"Every day is a fresh beginning, every morn is the world made new."
Sarah Chauncey Woolsey

OK, so how about it? You are more than ready to do better, feel better and be better, aren't you? Then get out there and get better today. Rather than wasting time wishing things were better, make them better right now. Instead of hoping for the best, seize control and make your life the supercharged adventure ride it deserves to be.

The only moment you control is the moment at hand. It's time to take charge of your life. It's time to make things happen. It's time to get a little fresh - maybe even a whole lot fresh - and start living the life you have always dreamed of living.

Right here, right now.

The Bottom Line: Get fresh and you'll get where you've always wanted to go.
