"If you don't think every day is a good day, just try missing one."
Ever had a day where everything seemed to go your way? Regardless of what you did or what you tried, everything just seemed to bounce your direction all day long. Wasn't it just great?
On the other hand, have you ever experienced a day where you got off on the wrong foot and it went downhill from there? A yuck day where everything you touched turned sour, everything you tried turned out wrong?
If you're like most of us, you have good days and not so good days. OK, sometimes you have a rotten to the core day every now and then. But good or bad or somewhere in between, you can make the most of any day if you just keep your chin up and your spirits high; maintaining a positive approach and optimistic outlook regardless of the cards you may have been dealt.
"People deal too much with the negative, with what is wrong. Why not try and see positive things, to just touch those things and make them bloom?"
Thich Nhat Hanh
I'll grant you that staying positive and upbeat when everyone else is down is not an easy gig. And staying up when things aren't going your way can be an even more difficult row to hoe. Yet, while neither is easy, they're not all that tough either.
So how do you get up and stay up when everyone and everything is trying to pull you down? You set off a positive chain reaction.
You start by getting positive yourself. Instead of allowing life's problems to drag you way down in the doldrums, you need to remain upbeat, positive and optimistic; perpetually looking for the good in life. No matter how dark and depressing things may seem, there is always a ray of sunshine to be found. Always.
You just have to look.
"Positive anything is better than negative nothing."
You can allow one mistake, one misstep and one miscue to ruin your day and rain on your parade - or you can use life's stumbling blocks as stepping stones and keep moving toward the realization of your goals. Instead of dwelling on what went wrong or what's not right, why not take best from your life experiences and discard the rest? By constantly focusing on the positive side of things, always looking for whatever good you can glean from any given situation, you set in motion a positive-based momentum that cannot be stopped.
Let's face it; pessimistic folks seem to attract negativity. Attract it by the truckload as a matter of fact. Stuck in a gloomy, doomy, down in the dumps environment, these individuals are generally bitter and broken. Since they rarely see the good in life, they almost never taste the best life has to offer.
On the other hand, perpetually positive people seemingly insulate themselves from life's negativity. Their positive charged, eternally optimistic attitude keeps them flying high regardless of chance or circumstance. By focusing on the positive side of life, they begin to see what was once invisible, begin to achieve what was once considered impossible.
And so can you.
"The person who sends out positive thoughts activates the world around him positively and draws back to himself positive results."
Norman Vincent Peale
What kind of signals are you sending out? Are they positive charged - or negative laced? Are you looking for the best in people - or searching for the worst? Do you expect success in everything you say, think and do - or do you anticipate failure?
Life is far too short to live it in a negative manner. You need to take charge of who you are and where you're going - and take charge right now. You'll discover that the minute you adopt a super positive approach to living, it quickly cascades into everything you say, think and do. You need to look for the good. You need to seek out the very best life has to offer. When you do, a positive chain reaction will get rolling full steam ahead.
Seemingly overnight, virtually all facets of your life gets better. Your mood improves immeasurably. Your attitude becomes more upbeat, more optimistic. And your overall outlook on life flies right off the charts. Best of all, each day becomes an exciting, energizing, electrifying adventure, where one good thing leads to another.
Here's wishing you a super charged, super positive, super sensational life.
The Bottom Line: Positive things happen to positive people.
