"There is always room at the top."
Life can feel a little confining, a little restricting on occasion; sometimes more than a little. With all sorts of things to do and precious few moments to get it all done, we feel an ever present pressure to make things happen as quickly as possible; unwelcome pressure that comes at us from virtually every conceivable angle.
In spite of the pressure, most of us roll up our sleeves and get busy doing what we need to do. But getting everything done is anything but an easy task. Regardless of how diligently we work, there are always the inevitable unforeseen problems that crop up here and there. And these unexpected issues must be dealt with when they occur.
"Life is full and overflowing with the new. But it is necessary to empty out the old to make room for the new to enter."
As we wind through the day, the stress and strain to get it all done begins to take its toll. Having barely scratched the surface of our 'to do' list, an unsettling sense of nervousness and apprehension begins to creep in. We wanted to do better, we wanted to get more done, but we didn't. As a result, it now feels like the walls are closing in all around us.
Instead of accomplishing the things we wanted to get done, we find ourselves a day late and a dollar short, holding the short end of the stick. Disillusioned and discouraged, we time and again beat ourselves up for having fallen short. As we repeat this self-defeating process day after day, we end up falling even further behind in our quest to be our best.
But don't fret; there is a way to meet and beat this vicious cycle of defeat.
"The biggest room in the world is the room for improvement."
For starters, we need to stop beating ourselves up. Look, life rarely if ever goes according to plan. In fact, it's probably a whole lot closer to never. But that's OK. We just need to condition ourselves to roll with life's punches whenever and wherever they occur. Instead of constantly beating ourselves up when we get knocked off track, we need to get back on our feet and get on down the line. And that start's by believing in ourselves and our God-given abilities.
Regardless of the setbacks and heartaches we encounter, we need to keep our heads up and our spirits high as we steadfastly move relentlessly, fervently and passionately in the direction of our dreams. By simply believing with all of our HEART AND SOUL that we can get the job done, we set the stage for the ultimate achievement of each and every goal we hold dear.
As Napoleon Hill so eloquently put it, "The world has the habit of making room for the man whose actions show that he knows where he is going." And believing in yourself is a wonderful place to begin your trek to the top.
"Always make room for the unexpected in yourself."
Instead of allowing life to box you in from all directions, why not make some room for yourself? Who couldn't use a little more room to move, a little more room to breathe, a little more room to make some positive things happen in our lives?
Rather than allow life's worries to get a little too close for comfort, why not carve out some room for you to just be yourself? And why not provide yourself a little elbow room to live, love and experience the very best life has to offer?
Why should you allow anyone or anything the opportunity to keep you from living the life you desire? You shouldn't and from this moment on, you won't. Life is far too precious not to live it with all the fervor and zeal you can muster. It's your turn, your time, your opportunity to make your life all that you've dreamed it could be.
There's plenty of room at the top, more than enough to make your move. So why not set your sights as high as you can and book a room with view?
The Bottom Line: A little room can make a big difference.
