Life can be tough, sometimes really tough on occasions. There are bills to pay, obligations to meet, commitments to keep... the list seemingly goes on forever. With our daily schedule seemingly jam packed from daylight to dark and beyond, we oftentimes find ourselves juggling way too many things at once.
As the daily grind exacts its inexorable toll, we begin feeling a bit overwhelmed. We want to get it all done, but there never seems to be enough hours in the day. Overworked, overwrought and out of gas, the pressure to get everything done finally reaches the breaking point.

We've all been down the tension turnpike a few too many times before. We know how it feels to be stressed out with our anxiety levels approaching Richter scale proportions. In these most trying moments, when there appears to be absolutely no relief in sight, we need to break up the pressure packed predicament we find ourselves in by cracking ourselves up.
When things get really rough, that's when we really need a good laugh more than ever. I'm not talking about cracking a little smile or having a little laugh; not even close. No, what we need when we're on the verge of breaking down is a rolling, rollicking, great big laugh out loud to chuckle our pressures away.
"Trouble knocked on the door, but, hearing laughter, hurried away."
Life was never intended to be filled with drudgery and unhappiness. In fact, just the opposite is true. Our lives were meant to be filled with enjoyment, cheerfulness and yes, laughter; lots and lots of laughter. And while laughing may never completely rid our lives of the problems we face, it can sure help us more readily handle the load. And laughing can make us feel a whole lot better as well.
There never has been a better medicine for whatever ails us than a hearty, healthy laugh. A really good laugh acts something like a relief valve, allowing the pressures and tensions of the day to dissipate for a while - providing relief when it's needed the most. Better yet, a good laugh makes life feel a little lighter, a little brighter, and a little less stressful.

Our lives are always going to have their ups and downs. And there are going to be days when the downs greatly outnumber the ups. But regardless of what life throws our direction, good and bad alike, we need to maintain our perspective and retain our good sense of humor.
Please remember that things are rarely if ever as bad as there sometimes first appear. And there's absolutely nothing we cannot overcome with the right mental attitude. By consistently interjecting some levity into your daily routine, you help ease your tensions away.
And don't wait until you're stressed to the max to make a move. Whenever your stress levels begin to creep up, that's a clear signal for you to step away and take a break. Rather than focusing all of your attention on your present dilemma and getting all tied up in a knot, why not turn the momentum around? By thinking of something that brings a smile to your face and having a nice laugh, you brighten your day and heighten your mood.
Hey, life is far too fleeting to stay upset and out of sorts. Life should be fun, a whole lot of fun - so make it fun with a capital LOL. Be sure to laugh good, laugh long and for goodness sakes, take the time to laugh out loud.
The Bottom Line: It's hard to have a bad time when you're in the middle of a good laugh.
