Satchel Paige, a fun loving Hall of Fame baseball pitcher, once said, "Don't look back, because something might be gaining on you." I wholeheartedly agree with old Satch's philosophy of not looking back in life, not because something might be gaining on you but because looking back prevents you from looking ahead. Whenever you have to choose between looking back or looking ahead, that should be an easy choice to make. Since your life is in front of you and not behind you, doesn't it make more sense to look ahead instead of behind? Sure it does.
Hey, is it perfectly normal to occasionally look back and reminisce about good times with old friends. Just make certain that you don't live your life in the past and most importantly, never dig up negative and destructive experiences from your past. Remember, you are presently engaged in the ongoing process of positively reconditioning your mind and body and you never want to take backward steps during this process. In order for you to get where you want to go in life, you must strive to leave all of the bad stuff behind you forever. You will find that looking ahead is much more exciting than living in the past.
So what kind of fun and excitement does your future hold in store for you? Will it be one action packed adventure after another? It can be, in fact, it should be. Winners have discovered that the best way to predict the future is to create it. In order to have the kind of future you truly want, you need to periodically take a peek ahead and see where you are going.
A quick sneak peek ahead will help keep you motivated and super fired up, as you see yourself living the life youve always imagined. You can climb any mountain one step at a time. Step after step after step, taken day after day after day, will ultimately get you to the top of the mountain. Then once you have completed the goal at hand and have reached the mountain summit, you will have an unimpeded vantage point from where you can take yet another peek at the next mountain peak you will climb.
