Have you ever experienced that 'boxed in' feeling, where it feels like the whole world is closing in all around you? I'm sure you have; most of us have at one time or another. And if you're like most folks, you would readily agree that it's not a good feeling. Not a good feeling at all.
With people constantly tugging and pulling at every corner and the day to day pressure mounting to the boiling point, it's no small wonder that we all get that boxed in feeling every now and then. The demands and deadlines we all face can push us right to the breaking point, even beyond.

In those moments when it feels like the walls are closing in and you can barely breath, don't just stand there! You need to get up and get away for a minute or two, escaping the noise and hubbub while allowing yourself to catch a much needed breath of fresh air.
By giving yourself a little room to think, a little space to relax and unwind, a little peace and quiet, you give yourself just what you needed when you needed it most. And that's a little time to yourself.

Fleeing the hustle and bustle of day to living is not always an easy thing to do. In fact, it can prove to be downright difficult on occasions. After all, you have responsibilities and obligations that must be tended to daily. Not to mention a full schedule to keep. Yet, if you keep pushing and pushing, pretty soon you're going to risk pushing yourself too far; maybe even burn yourself out. That's not a chance you want to take.
No doubt about it, life can bring really bring the pressure. And I do mean really bring it every now and again. So much so that it sometimes feels like it is squeezing the life right out of us.

Regardless of how busy you are and how many tasks you have scheduled daily, there is simply no excuse for not taking care of yourself along the way. Nobody, not even the best around, can function at an optimal level while constantly under the gun.
You need to get adept at listening to your body - really good, in fact. So good that you know the moment the pressure starts building within. The minute you sense things beginning to break down, you should get outside of the box before it completely closes in around you. Whenever and wherever you need a break, take it. If you need some peace and quiet, find it. If you need to relax and recharge, do it.
Why allow that boxed in feeling to ruin your day and spoil your fun in the process? When the heat is on, simply take a break, turn down the pressure and then when you're ready, come back better than ever.
The Bottom Line: When the heat is too hot to handle on the inside, getting outside and letting things cool off for a while may be just what the doctor ordered.
