Power Up Passages

One Day At A Time.

Brought to you by
The Power Performance Program ©

March 5, 2007.

"Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow."
Albert Einstein

Sometimes we spend so much time thinking about the good old days, reliving our most cherished moments of days gone by, that we fail to see the radiant beauty of the day at hand. And sometimes we get so caught up with all the tasks and commitments we need to take care of tomorrow, next week and next month that we miss the breath-taking magic that this day presents.

There is absolutely nothing wrong in walking down memory lane every now and then, looking back and recalling our most revered moments that we hold close to our hearts. And its perfectly natural to occasionally gaze out and behold the enormous potential the future has in store for each of us. But too much time spent looking ahead or looking behind robs us of the most important day of all: today.

"Today, you have 100% of your life left."
Tom Landry

Today, this magnificent day we're living right now, represents our one chance to get where we need to go; to do what we've always wanted to do. Each of us live our lives one day at a time, one precious moment at a time. And how we use or abuse those moments dictate the level of success we enjoy daily. And like it or not, we are never promised a tomorrow. Today is the day, the only day that counts. It is our responsibility to make it count for something truly special.

Yet too many of us waste one beautiful day after another, gradually allowing a lifetime of 'what ifs' to pile up while needlessly permitting a lifetime of achievement to irrevocably slip away. Then, when we come to the end of our lives, we moan and groan about all of the things we wished we would have done, all the things we wished we would have tried. We leave our lost legacy behind, never once fully knowing the real joy, contentment and happiness that life offers us all.

"Today is life - the only life you are sure of. Make the most of today. Get interested in something. Shake yourself awake. Develop a hobby. Let the winds of enthusiasm sweep through you. Live today with gusto."
Dale Carnegie

Spending your time reliving the past or aimlessly gazing out into the future isn't going to provide a whole lot of traction right here, right now. If you truly want to get more out of life, you need to seize the day; seize it with every ounce of energy, excitement and enthusiasm you can muster. Instead of slow poking your way through life, plodding along worrying and fretting about what you don't have or cannot do, you need to put the peddle to the metal and live life the way it was meant to be lived; at full throttle, with nothing held back, nothing left behind.

Rather than merely wishing you had a wonderful life, why not start living life with a newfound verve and vivacity that cannot be stopped from this moment on? And instead of wasting even one more day, why not spice things up by committing to make today the best day you have ever lived? A day you'll never forget.

"Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending."
Maria Robinson

Hey, don't worry about what you don't have. You've got way more than you'll ever need to accomplish anything and everything you have ever dreamed about. Way more than enough. The key is to take what you've got and get going right now. And don't spend another minute focusing on what you think you cannot do. You can do more than you have ever imagined doing if you'll just give yourself the chance.

You need to zero in on what you can do at this very moment and then have the daring to do it. You CAN have everything you have ever wanted in life if and when you have the courage to believe you CAN. Most of us have little difficulty seeing ourselves living a wonderful life, yet very few ever have the nerve to ever pull the trigger and make it happen.

So what's it going to be? A lifetime of realizing your unlimited potential - or a lifetime of unfulfilled promise? A lifetime abounding with achievement and accomplishment - or a lifetime marred by sorrows and regrets. A lifetime of living the good life - or a lifetime of never quite making the grade?

"Devote today to something so daring even you can't believe you're doing it."
Oprah Winfrey

Whatever you hope to achieve in your lifetime, wherever you want to take your life is in good hands, in your hands. That's right, anything and everything you have ever wanted to do, be and have is right there, within your reach. You simply need to reach out and seize it right now. That's starts by seizing the day.

Not sooner or later, nor whenever you get around to it. No, if you truly want to ratchet your life to up another notch or two or ten, and I mean really want it, you've got to make your move today. By fully living one day at a time, making each day your best day ever, your life will improve by leaps and bounds. Way better than you ever thought it could be, way better than you ever imagined. And to top it all off, there is absolutely no limit on how much better it can get. By vowing to make each day count for something special, a lifetime of special moments awaits.

The Bottom Line: Seize the day and you'll seize the best life has to offer!
