Power Up Passages

No Experience Required.
September 24, 2002

How would it feel to snap your fingers and make your dreams come true? That would be great, wouldn't it? While making your dreams come true may require a little more effort than simply snapping your fingers, you can live out your wildest dreams when you decide to wake up and make them happen.

Regardless of your background or present situation, you do have everything it takes to make your dreams come true -- right now. Believe it or not, you never have to earn your right to life's riches -- because you were born with that right. Maybe, just maybe, it's time for you to start believing ... in yourself.

Contrary to popular opinion, it doesn't really matter where you have come from or where you have been in the past. Your past is the past and has little or nothing to do with your future. Regardless of how low you have sunk or how far behind you have fallen, the only thing that really matters from this point forward is where you are going and what you're going to do with the rest of your life.

While there is never any experience required when it comes to taking your place among the very best, it does take a few lessons. Why? Because life is chock full of challenges, difficulties and uncertainties that provide ample opportunity to fall by the wayside. Many of us have lost some of our winning magic due to prior negative conditioning. In order to regain control of our lives, we simply need to restore that luster once again. Sometimes we just need to go back to the drawing board and learn how to win again.

It all starts by looking ahead, looking forward, looking up and never looking back ever again. When you look ahead, you can clearly see that pathway straight to the top of your chosen field of endeavor, up to the front of the line, right to the head of the class ... because that is where your future is headed.

Since your life is always in front of you and never behind you, why not go ahead and throw away that rear view mirror you hold of the past right now? Pitch it, toss it or get rid of it any way you can. Then look ahead and vividly visualize the things you want to accomplish in exacting detail. See your dreams coming true. The power of maintaining these razor sharp mental images of where you are going and how you are going to get there in your mind helps to intensify your motivation and heighten your focus.

You should look forward to each dawning day with a bright eyed optimism, anxiously awaiting the plentiful opportunities the new day offers. It is high time that you forget about what is behind you (because it is behind you - and that is where it will remain) and place all of your focus and attention on building the promising future you and your loved ones deserve. Don’t wait or hesitate –- you’ve got all the experience you’ll ever need to take you wherever you want to go. Here's wishing you a power packed trip!

The Power Up Passage is brought to you each weekday by The Motivational and Inspirational Corner.
