One of the best conditioning and strength building exercises ever created is the push up. This very simple yet highly effective exercise helps shape, sculpt and tone your upper body. It does not require any special equipment, since all you need is the floor and you. And it doesn’t require an inordinate allocation of time, since a nice workout routine can be accomplished in a matter of minutes each day.

Think about it for a moment. This exercise is fairly easy, doesn't require an expensive health club membership, can be done whenever and wherever you want and is good for you. Why in the world wouldn't everybody do a few push ups every single day? Yet most people don't. Maybe they think they are too busy or perhaps they simply forget. In any event, far too many people regularly neglect their physical health and that is a needless shame.

There is another type of push up people tend to overlook as well. This exercise is also simple to do, doesn't cost you a dime (unless you fail to use it) and only requires a couple of minutes each morning. This exercise is your daily mental push up.

These easy yet super powerful mental calisthenics can be put to good use by each and every one of us. Since your outlook for the day will determine your outcome during the day, doesn't it make a lot of sense to start your day off with a SUPER POSITIVE push up? You know it does!

A little push "up" lifts your spirits, elevates your enthusiasm, raises your expectations and boosts your energy levels. These push ups make you feel better — and also feel better about those around you too. It looks like that little push up can sure do a LOT for us!

You can begin pushing yourself up by feeding your mind a positive powered breakfast. You should envision a fabulous day getting ready to unfold before you, optimistically anticipating all of the great things that can and will happen to you today.

You should look forward to all the great things you will accomplish today, feeling a powerful surge of electrically charged energy building inside of you. You should also mentally prepare yourself to see and seize all of the opportunity that awaits you today, vowing to squeeze all of the fun and excitement that you can from the upcoming twenty four hours.

When you get right down to it, life is really pretty simple. The way you look at things will in large measure determine the things you get to look at and work with. A positive outlook will help you uncover positive ideas, thoughts and strategies. A negative outlook, well you know what that does for you — absolutely nothing. Since success comes in cans and failure in can’ts, maintaining a supercharged positive outlook on life seems like the way to go, doesn’t it?

You have an ongoing opportunity to preprogram your mind for success every day of your life. Today can be the start of something really great. I'm sorry. I should have said that today is the start of something really great! All you need to make every day a great day is a little push "UP" from yourself.

The Bottom Line: Life will no longer hold any limits on how high you can climb when you do your PUSH UPS daily.
