"When things go wrong, dont go with them."
Isnt it truly amazing how people react differently to the difficulties and challenges life presents us daily? The top achieving individuals always seem to tackle these imposing problems head on, constantly looking for a better, faster and smarter way to do things. They invariably rise to the challenge, realizing that the only way theyll get better is to put their best to the test. On the other side of the coin are the would-be winners, who are scurrying to find an easy way out.
Like it or not, things are going to go wrong on occasion. And its how you respond to these defining moments that shape the type of life you get to lead. The best course of action is to view any and all obstacles as inviting opportunities to make yourself better. Youll discover that with each and every problem you overcome in life, you grow stronger, become more self-assured and move confidently in the direction of your dreams.
"Don't dwell on what went wrong. Instead, focus on what to do next. Spend your energies on moving forward toward finding the answer."
As soon as a problem pops up, dont wait or hesitate. And certainly dont go looking for a place to hide. You need to get busy and start looking for answers and solutions. Albert Einstein, quite a problem solver in his own right, said, "We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them." And Norman Vincent Peale said, "Every problem has in it the seeds of its own solution."
Without a doubt, theres no shortage of problems in the world. But there is a definitive shortage of problem solvers. The best become the best because they are the worlds premier problem solvers. They dont back down or back away whenever the going gets a bit rough and neither should you. If youre looking to find the fastest path to the top, then work on becoming a problem solver.
"There are no big problems, there are just a lot of little problems."
Norman Vincent Peale also said, "Problems are to the mind what exercise is to the muscles, they toughen and make strong." Solving problems, big and small alike, has a lot more to do with the attitude and approach you bring to the table than anything else.
Some people tend to focus on the problem itself. Unfortunately, the problem is not going to go away by looking at it. In fact, if you look too long or too hard, the problem can become too big to handle in your own mind. In reality, each minute you spend looking at the problem are precious moments needlessly wasted.
"When solving problems, dig at the roots instead of just hacking at the leaves."
Anthony J. D'Angelo
Why not choose to spend your valuable time focusing on finding the solutions instead? You should use your time to test new ideas and search out alternative approaches. You'll discover that the key to solving life's most demanding problems is to keep plugging away until you get it right. The solutions you seek are always available to the willing heart.
Armed with the right attitude and a healthy dose of self confidence, lifes problems will soon be no problem at all.
The Bottom Line: Problems are merely golden opportunities for self improvement in disguise.
