"Things come to those who wait, but only those things left by those who hustle". Abraham Lincoln
How much of your precious time do you waste away every single day of your life on non-productive, unimportant activities which provide little if anything in return? If your are like most folks, you waste a few minutes over here doing this and a few more minutes over there doing that all day long. Two minutes here, five minutes there. Ten more minutes over here, another twenty minutes over there.
These persistent, periodic "wastes" of time really begin to add up after a while. Without question, one of the biggest ways we squander and fritter away our priceless time each and every day is by playing the waiting game. You know how the game is played, since all of us have played the waiting game at one time or another. We wait on this. Then we wait on that. We wait over here and then we wait over there. As a matter of fact, we seem to wait just about everywhere. Wait, wait, wait and wait some more. Waiting has become a way of life for too many Americans. We simply have to quit waiting for things to happen because waiting is a useless waste of time.
Winners are never very good at playing the waiting game. To put it bluntly, they detest waiting on anyone or anything. They fervently believe that sooner is much better then later. Winners want to get where they want to go as quickly as possible, so they condition themselves to lose the wait.
President Lincolns statement above illustrated the profound importance of taking care of business. He believed that if you are perfectly willing to wait around for something to happen, then you must be perfectly content with only the leftovers as well. He knew that a winner will consistently do what needs to be done, when it needs to be done.
We need to follow President Lincoln's advice and stop waiting around for good things to happen to us and for us. You can start turning your life around the moment you start aggressively moving toward the achievement of your goals and objectives. Can you possibly imagine all of the positive things you can accomplish when you begin converting all of those wasted minutes and hours frittered away waiting into full fledged, super charged action?
Come on, lets get going. Its time to lose the wait.
