Power Up Passages

No Deposit, No Return.
February 12, 2003.

There are basically two types of soda bottles. Some bottles can be returned to the store for a refund, since a deposit was made as part of the original purchase price for the soda. You rarely see these bottles anymore.

The majority of soda bottles in use today are of the "no deposit, no return" variety. Since these bottles can not be returned for any kind of deposit refund, they are usually thrown away or recycled.

Life in a way is very similar to those no deposit, no return bottles. After all, you have to put something in before you can expect to receive something back in return. If you live a life devoid of any tangible deposits, you'll sadly but surely get little or nothing in return. If you continue to make no deposits day after day, year after year, you run the risk of having your life thrown away just like those no return bottles.

However, when you take the time and make the effort to put something good in each and every day, you will get a lot out of life in return.

Make a deposit, get a return. Sounds so simple, doesn't it.

One way you can make sure that you’re making the required deposits is to set a goal of getting at least 1% better each and every day. While that's not exactly a tall order for a winner, it does require a daily investment of both time and effort to make it happen. In order to realize a minimum improvement of at least 1% daily, you have to be willing to make your daily deposits.

You must make your daily deposits of time, effort and energy to facilitate the kind of steady growth you desire and deserve. You'll discover that as you make more and more deposits, you will begin getting back more in return than you ever dreamed possible.

Are you making your daily deposits?

The good news is that it doesn’t require a lot of effort to improve one percent daily. The great news is one percent better here and one percent better there starts to add up in a real BIG hurry.

When you consistently make your daily deposits and look for ways to improve every day, even if only a mere 1%, you'll receive more than you ever imagined in return.

The Bottom Line: When you faithfully make your deposits each and every day of your life, you’ll get more out of life in return than you ever dreamed was possible.
