Power Up Passages

The Outer Limits
December 11, 2002.

Regardless of whether we have just completed a super day at the office, just rolled out of bed in the morning or are simply loosening up before a workout, taking a few minutes to s-t-r-e-t-c-h feels really great. S-t-r-e-t-c-h-i-n-g exercises are fantastic for limbering us up and getting our circulation moving, providing an excellent home remedy for relieving and releasing the tension and pressure that tends to store up inside all of us.

There's no question that all of us feel more alive and invigorated after completing a few stretching exercises. Not surprisingly, we also need to periodically s-t-r-e-t-c-h our minds as well. When we systematically s-t-r-e-t-c-h our minds, we immeasurably expand our present capabilities and pave the way for us to think in a much more creative fashion. Yet very few of us even take a moment or two to improve our mind’s capacity and ability to work.

Rather than fulfilling our abundant potential, we frequently place an assortment of limitations on our minds. Unfortunately, these self imposed limitations and restrictions prevent us from seeing beyond the present problems and stumbling blocks we frequently encounter daily. When we constrict the power of our minds, we narrow the scope and limit the potential of our futures as well. We cannot allow that to happen.

The simple technique of s-t-r-e-t-c-h-i-n-g allows anyone, regardless of their past conditioning, to rid themselves of any and all limitations once and for all.

We have been blessed with infinite minds that know no boundaries and see no limitations. Yet, on many occasions, we are guilty of inhibiting these powerful resources through our own finite actions. We set limits on how much we can see and on how much we can accomplish in our lives.

In order to maximize our abundant potential, we must first eliminate the inner limits we have unwittingly placed on ourselves. We can blast away any and all obstacles that stand in our paths by regularly s-t-r-e-t-c-h-i-n-g our minds every day. Once these phony barriers are permanently removed, we will quickly discover that there are virtually no outer limits to what our minds can accomplish.

We are capable of going farther than we have ever imagined and reaching higher than we have ever dreamed possible. It’s high time that we break out of a ho-hum existence we don't want and immediately begin living the lives we do want by s-t-r-e-t-c-h-i-n-g and s-t-r-e-t-c-h-i-n-g our minds every day.

You can have anything you want if you want it desperately enough. You must want it with an exuberance that erupts through the skin and joins the energy that created the world.
Sheila Graham

Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat.
Theodore Roosevelt

Desire is the key to motivation, but it's the determination and commitment to an unrelenting pursuit of your goal - a commitment to excellence - that will enable you to attain the success you seek.
Mario Andretti

Wheresoever you go, go with all your heart.

The same hammer that shatters the glass forges the steel.
Russian Proverb
